Its been a hectic couple of weeks, one in Hong Kong and
then another back here with the grandson.
Hardly any time for radio at all. I did get to operate as
VR2/G4CJC from Carl’s station (VR2CB) and worked VK4CQ.

I also met Carl’s wife and children and saw where
the Chinese border would have been if we could have seen it. The air pollution
that day was bad!
The ARRL 10 metre contest, which I didn’t manage to get in to,
was well supported. All the stations in the lists below had 10 or more
contacts.

I suppose if you wanted an overall most popular station it would have
to be ZS6DXB. There were of course lots of USA stations in with the fray
and it seems a good time was had by all. CW is still proving to be the
most popular mode.
Contests: There is nothing much for a while now. There
is the NRAU 10m activity contest on 1st January between 19:00 and 23:00
depending on your mode of transmission, 20:00 to 21:00 for SSB.
Sun: Blank again. And for those of us who are freezing
our butts off in the northern hemisphere it's good to know that yesterday
was the first day of summer in Brazil!! I’ll bet they haven’t
got freezing fog. Well, the shortest day has been and gone, so now we
can look forward to slowly increasing daylight. However it’s not
at both ends of the day just yet, it still gets darker in the morning
up to about Jan 4th after that both ends of the day get lighter.
