Those jobs wouldn’t include washing out feeding bottles, disposing of nappies etc, would they?
Always happy to publicise anything to do with 10m. Here we have a little plug, (that English for mini-advert)
“I have just put up a 10m beacon on 28.272.3 with the help and support of WJ5O. I would like reports or you can QSL. I know 10-meters is not open much at the moment, but it is in the testing stages as far as where it can be heard. I do plan to raise it in the spring.
I am using a vertical w/apx 5w, the msg currently has a 12 second gap before repeating. Thanks from Jerry N1KON”
On a completely different tac Andy, M0HLT, wanted to know,
“On the reports that people put into you, who's working who? There are loads of callsigns from all over the world, but surely not UK stations working ZL, VK,etc etc on 10m's,at the stage of the cycle! Could you please explain/clarify whats whats? 73”
Indeed Andrew, it is quite a while since I explained exactly what the lists show. Each day shows the stations that are reported as being active at all on any mode on 10m. The nearer the top of the list each day the more popular they have been. It is not intended as a log of who works who at what time etc merely as an activity indicator of the week past.
Were it UK stations working ZL, VK etc then the UK stations would also be in the list. Sadly you can see they are not!! (very often) The individual reports from DX and other stations obviously show who they worked and some times day, time and RST. If you combine those lists with the Contest calendar and the Upcoming activity you will be better informed (maybe) about your chances of working any DX in the next week.
Hope that clears things up. If you want absolute chapter and verse on Ten Metre activity then there are several other comprehensive data bases about.

Sun: Sunspot 1039 is about to disappear over the sun's western limb, but the sun won't remain blank for long. Another active region is approaching from the east, shown here in a Jan. 5th image from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory:
Stoke beat York City in the FA Cup and beat Fulham 3 – 2 in the Premier League. We rocked in the first half but lost our way in the 2nd half just hanging on for the three points.
The cricket looks a tough one for England to win. SA have posted a good 2nd innings score and we need 460 odd to win.
My IRLP node is now up and running so you can check out the London area by sending tones for 5600 from your own IRLP repeater.
