Tony's 10 Metre Band Report
28 July 2006

Fairly dead on 10m over the past 7 days, except for Sunday.
Stacks of contacts especially on CW (not me you understand).

I was at Southgate watching Middlesex lose (again) in a 40 over match to Glamorgan. I left about 30 minutes (my estimate) before the end in disgust at the poor performance. However, Glamorgan crash dived, but won it on the last ball of the 40th over. Such is life.

This week we are playing Durham, I shall wander down to Lord’s and soak up the atmosphere along with a few pints of London Pride in the Pavilion.

Contests:
Just the RSGB IOTA (Islands On the Air) Contest. A very popular contest with unusual DX about. VP5, Turks & Caicos Islands. Tom K4ZGB #26754, will be active as VP5/K4ZGB from Providenciales, between July 25th and August 1st. Look for activity on all bands, CW and SSB. Tom also plans to be in the IOTA Contest July 29-30th.

Best conditions are expected August 4-6th, and Sept. 1-3rd.

Sun:
Sun spot 901 has almost gone, so forget that one!

And there is little else. A good start from the lads in the second test with Harmison getting a few wickets. Early days yet.
