Wash out of a week with Monday being the best. I’m
not sure why there were not more Canadians on for their contest, its such
a big place perhaps there was no skip out of there.
Floods here all week and bombs of course. My daughter and
son-in-law got here just before the heightened security at Heathrow.
Going back will mean an all day job queuing in the traffic, queuing to
check in, queuing at passport control and that’s just if nothing
else happens.

 Sun:
Just sunspot 961 and forget it with respect to solar flares.
However it does have a bright spiral coming out of its core. This is hot
gas held by magnetic fields (magnetic bottle effect) which is not exactly
stable. This picture shows the changes over a couple of days.
