Wednesday through to Sunday was very good on 10m with 4O3A a winner during the week and for the first time in a long time, a United States station, W3RJ, getting top spot at the weekend. 4O/YU1YV also did well.
There were some popular British stations in there, G0KPW, MU0GSY, GX4KPT/P and GI7AXB to name but four.
It seems dead to Australia at the moment. Some good DX, JX9JKA (Jan Mayen Island), VP9KD (Bermuda), OY9R (Faroe Islands) T77NM (San Marino) and more. Some odd ones too, E73MMM (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and AM08CYQ/H a special call for EB2CYQ - EXPO 2008. Jose says “The suffix is /H because my province in Spain is Huesca and all the special callsigns of the three provinces of Aragon are at the end /H /Z /T”. That’s a new one on me.

From Carlos - PY2XC comes, “10 metres is in very bad shape due to low sun spot numbers so why don´t you put in your list those stations trying to QSO in CW. I know CW may be banned and hated in some places but, in these band conditions, sometimes is the only way to establish a "civilised" QSO.
I almost forgot SSB down here because signals from Europe and elsewhere rarely peak above S 5. And when this happens, then it is just for a few minutes then, zero again.
From my side, for those who appreciate it, I am every weekend on 28022.0 CW trying from 15:00 UTC on.
Hope to hear from some of you. 73!”
Carlos has a very valid point about CW being a better mode in trying conditions, it just not my preferred method so I don’t report on it.
It would be easy to do but is that what you all want?
Send in your votes to me “SSB + CW” or “SSB”.

VK5MRD is not pleased with things In VKland. “Conditions on 10m have not been the best down here in VK land of late. I did manage to work a few stations in VK4. Stations worked were VK4LS, VK4KY and VK4CQ. Also just heard on weak scatter was VK3YUN. Nothing for me as far as international DX is concerned. I don’t get on much during the working week but I try my best on the weekends +/- 28.490MHz.”
And last but not least Steve GW8XZJ, worked 4O/YU1YV 5/9, YU0U 5/9, YT9A 5/9 and LA6KOA 5/3.
Contests: Saturday 0000 - Sunday 2359, the Venezuelan Independence Day Contest. And that’s just about it till next weekend.
Sun: Blank again! On Friday, July 4 th, red Mars and ringed Saturn converge just to the left of the bright star Regulus. The three lights make a pretty 1st-magnitude line in the heavens. On Saturday, July 5th, a crescent Moon joins the show. Saturn, Mars, and the Moon trace an even brighter line than the night before.
