Benito, N3ZVG, would like, quote, “Some info on
how to set-up amateur satellite stations, the basic things.”
Err, yes, not quite sure if that’s how to receive them or what,
but I guess so. Any one oblige. The RSGB certainly do books on the subject
and I guess so do the ARRL. There are so many now.
John, G6CNF heard DL8MEM,YU7BPQ,EA1EEL,DJ1VXV. He sounds really chuffed with, “Tony I’m having great contacts using the converted Icom 1050, just amazed how many contacts I have made with just 4 watts.” A lesson for us all, enthusiasm and 4 watts beats 100 watts a beam and watching the world cup repeats!
Fred, 2E0TLB, heard DQ2006W 5/9, IW1RBI 5/8, DL/G4FQW/P QRP 5/1, DM2CKK 5/7, EA5XP 5/7 and OZ9VW 5/3 with lots of QSB.
Andy G0FTD has been shopping again, I’lI include his report in the next edition. Summer and a shopping trolley mobile, what more could one ask. Are there any other unusual reports out there, eg hand held from a nudist colony or on the tail of a pile up from a cattle field?
