A fabulous week culminating in great conditions for the WPX Contest.

For the second week running, the limit for inclusion has had to be raised to 5 for week days and 10 during the contest.
On Saturday there were 2868 reported contacts and Sunday an amazing 4294 reported contacts!!

There was lots of DX about, too much to mention all but PJ4/K4BAI, (Bonaire Is, Curacao), E20WXA (Thailand), YN2N (Nicaragua), HI3TEJ (Dominican Republic) are all notable. Also on Thursday OZ2SPACE is a genuine call, read about it here Copenhagen Suborbitals.

In the contest LU1HU too the prize for Saturday while E4X (Palestine 2010 DXpedition) just romped away with Sunday. Why not Saturday as well?

“Just a quick email to say Hi and to let you know that I am still around - just not near the radio! I have been flat out starting up my own business, that keeps me really busy. I have just put a dual bander in my van. I hope to put a HF rig in sometime soon or at least a 10m rig. I have done a little bit of listening when I can and I have heard beacons on regular occasions from ZL, Indonesia, Hawaii, JA and Russia. Just wish I had more time near the radio. I hope all is well your way and I hope to work some 10m DX sometime soon.”

Its seems strange to think of those two stations being thought of as DX, but there you go.

OK Edward, so you can only listen on HF, that’s tough as 10m seems to be livening up. However you can use your new callsign here, nothing illegal about that so keep listening and send stuff in. And, of course, work to upgrade the licence.
