Tony's 10 Metre Band Report
03 May 2007
Still not a great deal of activity with the exception of
Saturday and Sunday.
SV1EEX, Nikiforos, heard a few stations,
5H3VMB, IA0IPY, HV0A, and IK0FNH. Thanks for the first report from a Greek
station.
Steven, G7BXU, says he heard “9A2X
59 on back of beam”.
OK then why not turn the beam and use it the right way round? Joking apart,
Steven why not tell us what kit you have there and what you can work (on
10m) with it.
All reports about Ten Metres are welcome here, short sharp
and snappy or long and detailed.

Good to see some G stations getting into the lists, not forgetting MW0HMV
in Llanelli who seems quite active on ten. Although I use the term Gs
to refer to UK stations we have a wealth of different prefixes and regional
variants, so hopefully no one should feel offended by its use.
ST100S is Sudanese National Centenary call sign for the Scouts centenary
year-2007.
Contests: There are a few things on this weekend. A
Portuguese Navy Contest Saturday 15:00 to Sunday 15:00, an Italian DX
Contest, Saturday 20:00 to Sunday 20:00 and several USA states so called
“QSO Party” contests.
Sun: Sun spot 953 is quite a decent one and has a pretty
good chance of sending out M Class flares. Anyone who can get hold of
the RSGB’s RadCom magazine for May should read the most interesting
article entitled An Introduction to HF Propagation by G4FKH (p56
to p58). Gwyn has pulled together some very illuminating information about
the sun. (Sorry, just couldn’t resist that pun)
