Tony's 10 Metre Band Report
3 November 2006

I just got back from Seoul in South Korea.

Did not see any beam antennas on the roof tops of the apartment blocks. But this is kind of interesting.

Harry Kim needs this to run his 5kW linear.

Please send in any other amusing captions that you can think of.

Most popular DX with the stations with most contacts higher up the list.

There were over 670 stations active on SSB on Saturday and 650 on Sunday, wow. If you include the CW activity and count contacts reported not just unique stations then there were something approaching 6,000 contacts on Ten Metres.

Contests: Everything will now be a bit of an anti-climax, but anyway here they are. 12:00 4th November to 12:00 5th November Ukraine DX Contest and 06:00 – 10:00 and 14:00 – 18:00 on 5th is the IPA Contest (International Police Association). Could be interesting if conditions are up.

Sun: Sunspot 921 is still growing. Now as wide as the planet Jupiter, it presents an attractive and fast-changing target for solar telescopes. Forecasters estimate a 5% chance of M-class flares during the next 24 hours.

I did see one interesting antenna. If anyone can identify it I’d really like to know what it is.
