Tony's 10 Metre Band Report
14 November 2006

This is the Namsam Tower in Seoul, South Korea taken on a good day when the mist and pollution was not so bad.

You can go up to the top of the tower which I did, and they have the highest toilets in Seoul (maybe in Korea) which are glass sided so that you can see whilst you pee.

Lance, VK6DU is QRV on CW, SSB and RTTY on 10m.
The week I was in Seoul he worked DQ4W, F5IN, VU2BGS and DL5JS on CW, DJ3NG, RA9SC, UW8I and Z37M on TTY and 9M6DXX on SSB. He was also copying stations from EU in the big contest (CQWW).

Carl VR2LH is back on track. He heard 9W2YCC 5/8, RN4SN 4/4, ZL1KP 4/3, VK9CCG 5/9, 9W6RAY 5/9, VK4CQ 5/8 and JH7VIB 5/7.
His comments were, ”Listened on and off during the day but did not actually hear much; most of what I heard I could work even with my simple station - more stations QRV on 10m would no doubt result in more QSOs for all! Unfortunately work related travel has curtailed my operating in 2006 but I expect to be more active on 10m in 2007.”
That’s excellent to hear Carl and we’re glad be able post your contributions again.

A poor week and week end, with Friday last being the best day for ten meters. The Japan and SL contests seemed to have no impact at all on activity levels. Plenty of VKs and some ZSs with a smattering of other DX.
