Another poor week but it did pick up at the weekend. Not that It made much difference to us UK amateurs, though G0SXC did manage a high spot on Sunday, That’s what a 9 element (yes 9!) mono bander can do for you.

CE2WZ, David, reports, “10 metres finally opened up between North and South America this weekend. On Saturday I managed to work 3 US stations. AC6DX, KC5LXD and WA9IES.

On Sunday the band really opened and I worked 59 stations in total. Most were US and PY but I also worked: VA7CRZ in Vancouver, VE6DJT in Alberta and KH6RC in Hawaii.”

Nice ones, I’ve not managed any 10m activity for a couple of weeks but now I’m raring to go, just need good conditions.

Sun: There are 2 new sunspots of the new cycle, small but they are there.
There is also one from the old cycle so
we’re not quite done with it yet.
