This week’s list make really dismal reading from the
total activity view point.
Although I cannot guaranty the accuracy of the list for
Friday, Saturday and Sunday because of a software failure, it is obvious
that not too many stations were on 10 Metres.
3B7C was ahead of the rest and it was good
to see Steve, GW4BLE, back in there. What happened to the super callsign
he was supposed to be using I wonder? Perhaps Steve will let us know how
he got on with that.

Contests: This weekend, not a lot. OK, there is the
New England QRP contest. But think about it, it’s not easy to hear
stuff on Ten at the moment when stations are using Kilowatts so what chance
when they’re using less than 5W.
Sun: And guess what, the sun is devoid of sunspots!
Sept. 14th, a solar wind stream is due to hit Earth, possibly triggering
a geomagnetic storm. High latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras.
At least we have good weather here in the UK and the cricket seems to
be going fine.
