A see-saw week. Monday through Friday being exceedingly
poor, but 3B7C still out front. Saturday, marginally better but no 3B7C
(generator packed up?) and MW0ZZK/P on top.
Sunday, with the Scandinavian Contest on, really threw up
lots of stations from VK to PY, from ZP to RD, from 9A to CE, lots of
OH/OG/OJ/OF etc topped out by 3B7C. Does any one know why they were not
reported on Saturday?

Contests: There is the Ireland Calling Contest (CQIR)
from 12:00 Saturday to 12:00 Sunday. Its an everyone works everyone contest
with those not residing in Ireland getting the chance to win a trip to
Ireland. Then there is The Classic Exchange "CX" from 13:00
Sunday to 07:00 Monday. The rules give you more points if you use an old
classic rig (Drake 4 series, KW2000/A/B etc) but in fact you can use any
rig. October cometh and it is traditionally a good contest month with
CQWW DX at the tail end.
Sun:
The sun is blank again. But a high-speed solar wind stream that hitting
Earth on Sept. 21st, sparked polar auroras for three nights in a row.
This photo was taken out of an airplane window.

Get ready for more: Another stream is en route from the sun, due to arrive
on Thursday Sept. 27th.
