Tony's 10 Metre Band Report
18 September, 2008

What a chronically poor week! Even the weekend did not bring out the required conditions. There were some DX stations on from HR1 (Honduras), KP3 (Puerto Rico), TI2 (Costa Rica), HP6 (Panama), OA4 (Peru) and S21RC in Bangladesh. Nice QSL card too.

Most popular DX
(three or more contacts, any mode)

Monday: KP3FT/B, LU1FHH/B, G0SXC, LU5FB/B, TI2AIM, ZD8LP, G0OTT, XE1AKM/B, F2IL, HP6RCP/B, K5UOT, OA4B/B, F6EWB, HR1/K2L, HR1/K2LCT, KD4ESV, KE4WBO, LW3EX.

Tuesday: XE1KK/B, KC5UOT, KE4WBO, HR1/K2L.

S21RC's QSL card

Wednesday: F6EWB

Thursday: LW2DY, ZD8LP, HP6RCP/B, HP1RIS/B, CX5BW, HR1/K2LCT, HR1/K2L, KD4ESV.

Friday: S21RC, HP6RCP/B, HP1RIS/B, 4L4WW, KE4WBO, KD4ESV, BG7NWF.

Saturday: PU2SYM, S21RC.

Sunday: IT9BLB, AN5KB, KD4ESV, DF0BV.

Only one report this week from Walter, OE3KWC. He worked LA4TEN/B on Thursday. Everyone else seems stuck in the doldrums.

Contests: The CIS (Scottish-Russian) DX Contest and the 50th Scandinavian Activity Contest (CW), both 12:00 Saturday to 12:00 Sunday, the SRT HF Contest 13:00 to 13:00, various American sprint type contests etc.

Sun: Blank again and very little other activity out there.

Cricket’s almost at an end and the football continues to impress. Stoke lost a thrilling match at home to Everton 2 – 3. We came back from 0 – 2 down but made a silly defensive mistake to give away the points. We created many more chances than they did especially in the second half. Liverpool away this weekend then Chelsea at home next weekend. Looks like a lean time for us!!

The daughter and grandson go back to Hong Kong this Friday, soon we will be going over to visit and I can operate as VR2/G4CJC again.
