29/07/2010: On 29 July, 2010 SP9YFF/p will activate the following
references for WFF: 1) Rezerwat przyrody Przelom Bialki pod Krempachami
reserve (SPFF-382). 2) Obszar Natura 2000 - Dolina Bialki (SPFF-383). 3)
Poludniowomalopolski Obszaru Chronionego Krajobrazu Protected Landscape

30/07/2010: From 30 July to 1 August, 2010 Bob, KD0GAF/p will activate
several islands in Namakan Lake, located in the Voyageurs National Park
(WFF KFF-067), St. Louis County, Minnesota. He will be QRV from
1800z-2100z each day and plans to activate and qualify the following
islands: Cemetery (MN017), Fox (MN018), Kubel (MN019), McManus (MN020),
Namakan (MN021), Wolf Pack East (MN022) and Wolf Pack North (MN023).
Specific islands to be worked will be determined by weather and water
conditions. Operation will be primarily on 20 metres, in the island
corridor of 14.250 - 14.260, and 10 metres, propagation permitting. QSL

30/07/2010: Five different islands located in Lake Chudsko-Pskovskoe
[aka Lake Peipsi] will be activated by R7AA, RA1QY, RA1WJ, RA1WZ, RU6AX,
UA1WDX and UA6BFL, using the callsign RZ6AZZ/1, between 30 July and 4
August, 2010. Island mentioned are: RR-23-06 NEW ONE, RR-23-01,
RR-23-02, RR-23-04 and RR-23-07 NEW ONE. They will change to a different
island each day. This expedition is devoted to two dates: The 50th
anniversary of the beginning of television broadcasting in the Kuban and
The 10th anniversary of the first expedition to the island club programs
RRC and IOTA team held RZ6AZZ Krasnodar Regional radio and transmitting

31/07/2010: Members of the Gwangju DX Club (6L0NJ) will be active as
6L0NJ/4 from Shinji Island (AS-060) from 31 July until 3 August, 2010.
They will operate SSB, CW and digital modes on the HF bands. QSL via

31/07/2010: Every year the the Georgian Bay Amateur Radio Club (VE3OSR)
embarks on a Dxpedition to Flower Pot Island (CIsA ON005, Not IOTA) to
activate grid square EN95 and special event station VA3FPI. They will
also activate Flower Pot Island lighthouse (ARLHS CAN-181, WLH VE-060,
WLOTA L-0763). The team will be QRV between 31 July and 2 August, 2010

01/08/2010: Rudy, ON7VMR will be QRV as EA5/ON7VMR from the resort
village of Calpe, along the Costa Blanca coastline, region of Alicante,
Spain, from 1-15th August 2010. Calpe is well known for its massive rock

01/08/2010: Volker, DK2MT plans to be active from Oleron Island

01/08/2010: Members of the newly born I0-DX GROUP (Italia Zero DX
Group) will activate the island of Ponza (EU-045, IIA LT-001, MIA

05/08/2010: Luca, IK2NCJ will once again be active as D4C from Sao
Vicente Island (AF-086, WLOTA L-1976) on 5-16 August, 2010. Activity
will include the WAE DX CW Contest (August 14-15th) as a

05/08/2010: Members of the Kennehoochee Amateur Radio Club (W4BTI) will
be active as a Special Event Station and IOTA/Lighthouse DXpedition
using the callsign K4L from Sapelo Island (NA-058, USi GA007, McIntosh
County), State of Georgia, on 5-7 August 2010. They will activate the
Sapelo Island lighthouse (ARLHS USA-738, TWLHD WLH K-146) and the Sapelo
Island Range Front lighthouse (ARLHS USA-1014). Team members include
Ricky K4JTT, Ron NV4U, Ian AK4IK, Jim AK4I, Clark WU4B, Bill WB4WHD,
Rich KD4SEV, Rich KI4RQO, David KJ4IOR, Don N4HH, Mike K4KGA, Harold
KD8DVY, Phil W3HZZ, Neil N4FN and Ken KJ4PQX. Plans are being formulated
for a group of ten amateur radio operators to provide 24/7 operation

06/08/2010: Mike, AD5A and his two sons, Michael, AB5EB and Jake,
KB5SKN will activate Kalgin Island (IOTA NA-158, USi AK022S, WLOTA
L-1728, 3rd S. Central for USA-CA), in the Kenai-Cook Inlet Group,
Alaska. This island has been worked by less that 10% of island chasers.
The expedition will be on the air sometime Friday, 6th August and will
QRT mid-afternoon, local time, on Sunday 8th August 2010. The operation
will consist of two stations running 100 watts. The CW call sign will be
AD5A/KL5 and the SSB call will be AB5EB/KL0. The team will go equipped
to operate on 6m if the band opens up, but it will not be a priority.

11/08/2010: To celebrate the Birth of Fujikawa-town, Minamikoma gun,
Yamanashi prefecture, special event station 8J1FFF will be active
between 11 August and 30 November, 2010. Masuho town and Kajikazawa town
mayors signed agreements on the merger of the two towns on the 5th June,
2009. The name of the new town which will come into existence on 8th
March, 2010 from this merger has been settled on as Fujikawa-cho

event station 8J4NDPD is currently active until 1 September, 2010. It
was on 1 September when the Great Kanto Earthquake struck in 1923. QSL

29/07/2010: Very special GG100 series calls have been issued to
celebrate the centenary of Girl Guiding. On 29 July GG100GG becomes
active from Leeds on 160m to 10m, 2m and 70cm. GG100EHG will be
celebrating for East Hampshire Guides from Shedfield, Hampshire on 2
August, with activity on 80 to 10m and 2m.

31/07/2010: Special event station GB2VET is operating on 31 July and 1
August, 2010 celebrating the army, navy, and air force reunion at East
Park, Holderness Rd, Hull, East Yorks HU8 8JU. They are hoping to use a
vintage R1154/T1155 plus more modern equipment. Operation will be on
80m, 40m and 20m with a mixture of CW and SSB. QRV also on 2m and 70cm

02/08/2010: The Scout Association of Japan will be hosting the 15th
Nippon Jamboree 2010. To celebrate this event, special station 8J2BSJ
will be active on 2-8 August, 2010. The Nippon Jamboree is a camping
festival and is the largest Scouting event in Japan. This year it is
planned to be held at the Asagiri Plateau, located at the southeast base
of Mount Fuji in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture. QSL via the JARL

02/08/2010: Fred, PA0FAW will use the special event callsign PA10WSF on
2-30 August 2010 to celebrate the World Statues Festival in Arnhem

Going to Sault Ste Marie, Canada, to the Annual Finn Fest to celebrate
my heritage. I will be with my Finnish County Hunting friend from
Finland, Heikki, (Henry) OH3JF. OH3JF spent 3 days with me a few years
ago when he was in the states. I was born in the states but Finnish was
my first language so I will be rolling the r's for a few days with
Heikki.. WHEW!!

to be in Canada by 2 EST. Going the County Hunter route to finish up
W3DYA and a few others. Will monitor 80 CW when I start out about 6 AM

TCSWAT is " On Air! "
This week end between 31 July 2010 and 01 August 2010 TCSWAT will be on
air with two different station two different activity " TC2010IIM " and
" TC2DOL ".
Istanbul 2010 European Capitol of Culture AWARD by TCSWAT
During Istanbul 2010 European Capitol of Culture TCSWAT is QRV with 3
main station; during one year
TC2010CCA (Asian Side)
TC2010CCE (European Side) and
TC2010CCI (Island Side- Prins island)
For the AWARD period; other 10 (ten) special event station will be QRV.
One of this special event station will be on air this week-end between
31 July 2010 and 01 Agust 2010 - TC2010IIM; The Islands Museum from
Prins Islands.

The Islands Museum
The Islands and Istanbul finally gets a city museum.
The museum’s general approach, materials intended for collection and the
location of the museum that will tell the social history of Istanbul
islands are now embracing local islanders from 8 August on through an
introductory exhibition called Towards the Islands Museum.
Short surveys will be conducted with visitors too during the exhibition
from 8 August to 12 September in Büyükada Port Square.
Islands local people will be requested to support the project by
donating documents and objects in order to be used in temporary and
permanent exhibitions of the museum that is being prepared under the
slogans: "This is our story" and "Don’t let memories vanish but be
shared and inherited to the future".
The Islands Museum Project carried out as an important project within
Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture by joint efforts from Istanbul
Metropolitan Municipality, Municipality of Islands, Islands County
Administration and Foundation of Islands and; presentations will also
take...

Social Responsibility Prjoject from TCSWAT
For a special event station;
TCSWAT will be QRV with TC2DOL (Dolphins) callsign between 31 July 2010
/ 01 August 2010 from Istanbul / Kadikoy.
The freedom of the Dolphins !!!
After the "divers dive for dolphins" event; now Istanbul will rise it's
voice for the freedom of the dolphins.
On the 1st of August, lots of non-governmental organizations will gather
in Istanbul Kadikoy for captive dolphins and illegalilty.
You can be there just grab your banner and protest the dirty businnes
that dolphins suffer or you can contact us... TC2DOL.
