AF-004. Wilko, PA3BWK, will be active as EA8/PA3BWK
from the Island of Lanzarote (DIE S-007, Punta Pechiguera lighthouse FEA
D-2782, WLOTA LH-0099, WW Loc. IL38BU), June 10-16th. Activity will be
on 40-10 meters, mainly CW, at 10 kHz up from the lower band edge. QSL
via PA0ZE (QRZ.com).
AF-018. Operator Giuseppe, IT9BLB, will be active as
IH9/IT9BLB from Pantelleria Island during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July
28-29th) as Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL via his home callsign.
AF-019. Operators Isido/I1XOI, Piera/IK1AIF, Mario/IW1PZC,
Giovanni/ IZ1DFG, Giorgio/IZ1HGP, Mauro/IW2KVT, Giuseppe/I2AZ and possibily
Emanuele/IW2NOD will be active as IG9/homecall from Lampedusa Island (AG-001,
MIA MI-126, WLOTA LH-2312) between now and June 19th. Activity will be
on the HF bands plus 6 and 2 meters, CW and SSB. QSL via their home callsigns,
direct or by the bureau.
AS-017. Operators JA1KJW, JJ1JGI, JK1EBA and 7N4AGB
will be active from Okinawa Island (JIIA AS-017-033, WLOTA LH-0275) as
homecall/JR6, June 15-18th. Activity will be on the HF bands and 6 meters
CW and SSB. QSL via their home callsigns, direct or by the bureau.
AS-151. Zhang, BD3APX, will be active as BD3APX/2 from
Juhua Island between June 29th-July 1st. Activity will be on 40-10 meters
on CW, SSB and Digital modes. QSL via BD3APX.
EU-067. Members of the SV DX Group will be active as
SY8AN from Antiparos Island (MIA MG-016) between now and June 17th. Activity
will be active on all bands CW, SSB and RTTY.
Operators mentioned are: SV1GE, SV1AAU, SV2DGH, SV1DPJ,

EU-071. Kent, SM5ELV, will be active from Heimaey Island
[also known as Vestmannaeyjar] (also counts for WLOTA LH-0976) between
now June 13th. Activity will be on most of the HF bands and modes, depending
on conditions. He will use an IC-706 with 100 watts into a vertical and
maybe a dipole. Kent will also possibly try 6 meters and some Digi modes
as well. QSL via his home callsign.
NA-122. Herman, ON4QX and a group from the Dominican
Republic will activate Cabras Island as HI0C between June 11-17th. Cabras
has not been on the air for at least 18 years. They plan to have fours
stations on the air: HF, 6m, 2m, SSB and RTTY. QSL via ON4IQ.
NA-231. Operators Cezar/VE3LYC and Ken/G3OCA are all
set to go on schedule to activate East Pen Island between July 20-22nd.
They will use the following callsigns: VE3LYC/VY0 (Cezar) and VY0/G3OCA
(Ken). According to Canada/U.S. treaty, stations from either country that
operate portable from any region within the territory must use the identifier
as suffix (VE3LYC/VY0). All other stations have to use the
identifier as prefix (VY0/G3OCA). QSL via VE3LYC, direct or
by the bureau (G/GM/GW/GI stations can confirm via G3OCA).
OC-185. Operators Stuart/VK8NSB and Joe/VK8VTX are
expected to activate Elcho Island, in the Northern Territory (Arafura
Sea coast) East Group, between June 15-19th. The callsign has not been
announced yet. Activity is planned for 80-10 meters CW, SSB, PSK and RTTY,
with two stations on the air (1 digital and 1 CW/SSB). QSL via VK6NE (QRZ.com).
SA-089. Members of the 4M5DX Group will be active as
YW1DX from Cayo Sombrero during the next IOTA Contest (July 28-29th) as
a Multi-Op/Mixed-Mode/High-Power entry in the DXpedition category. The
team consists of: Alex/YV5SSB, Jose/YV5TX, Julio/ YV1RDX, Jesus/YV5MSG,
Olli/YV5WW (OH0XX), Greg/YV5OHW and Pasquale/YV5KAJ.
They hope to be on the island Friday the 26th in order to set up and
activate the island on WARC bands before the contest starts. Activity
during the contest will be on 80/40/20/15/10 meters, CW, SSB and RTTY.
After the contest, they hope to be on 160-10 meters and the WARC bands.
