NA-035. Reports indicate that Javier, HR2J,
and a group of operators will activate Swan Island for 6 days between
March 16-23rd (2008). The callsign will be HQ8R.
The last planned operation (this year) was cancelled due transportation
problems. The Honduran Navy is willing to take the team to the island
for one week in March if they pay for the diesel for the boat.
Javier is currently looking for 5 or 6 U.S. radio amateurs to join him
and help with the cost of the transportation.
Also, members of the Radio Club of Honduras (RCH) are now expected to
participate in this special DXpedition. Cost of ship is 4500 USDs.
