Island activities:
EU-029. Ben, DO1BEN, will be active as OZ/DO1BEN from Lolland Island
(DIA SJ-015 for the Danish Islands Award, WW Loc. JO54QV)
until March 28th. Activity will be on all HF bands. QSL via
his home callsign, direct (QRZ.com) or by the bureau.
EU-120. Chris, M0DOL, will be active as M0DOL/p and GX4KPT from
Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island starting April 5th for
six days. The CASHOTA reference number will be given when
QSOs take place. QSL via M0DOL.
EU-171. Operators Ela DL1TM and Tor DJ4MG will once again be active
as OZ/homecall from Ingstrup (JO47UH), Community of Lokken,
Nordjylland Island, Denmark, between March 24th and April
10th.
They plan to have two stations on the air. One on SSB
operating 160/80/40/20/15 meters and the other on PSK31 on
40/20 meters. Antennas will be a spiderbeam, a 160m loop and
a DK9SQ loop.
They will also be on 2 meters SSB with only
100 watts and an 11 element yagi at 16m above the ground
level. They also plan to participate in the Nordic Activity

EU-174. Operators Steve G4EDG, Jeff G4ELZ, Vasko LZ1CL and Tony LZ1JZ
will be active from Samothraki Island between March 25th and
April 5th. They will be using the special callsign SY8JZ,
mainly on CW but with some SSB. QSL via LZ1JZ.
NA-234. (NEW ONE!) The KL7DX IOTA DXpedition to Chuginadak Island
(Grid AO52) is planned to take place from July 21-27th. At
the moment team members include Yuri N3QQ, John KE7V and
Yuri UA9OBA. The team will try to make as many as possible
2-way radio contacts with IOTA Island Chasers on all HF bands
including 6 meters.
As of right now they are in the final
planning stages for Chuginadak Island (Islands of Four Mountains
Group) NA-234 Amateur Radio DXpedition. Estimated dates are:
Landing on or around July 21st, 2008, departure on or around
July 27th, 2008. QSL via AC7DX (QRZ.com). Further information
