Island activities:
AF-004. Members of the Grupo DX Teide (GDXT) will be active as EG8FOR
from El Hierro Island (DIE S-015 for the Spanish Islands Award)
and the Orchilla Lighthouse (FEA D-2836, ARLHS CAI-066, WLOTA
2005, WW Loc. IL07WR, DME 38901) between May 30th and June 1st.
The group will dedicate this activation of the Orchilla Light-
house to Don Carmelo Heredia D.E.P. who was the first light-keeper in 1933.
Operators mentioned are: Angel/EA8BFH (SSB/VHF),
Jose/EA8ARG (SSB/Digital) and Luis/EA8AY (CW). Activity will
be on 40-2 meters on CW, SSB and PSK31, using TS-480 at 100
watts for CW, FT-897 and FT-840 at 100 watts for SSB and the
Digital modes. Antennas will be a portable Spiderbeam (for 5
bands), Moxon for 30/20m, Delta Loop Array for 40m and G5RV.
Suggested frequencies are:
CW - 7015, 10106, 14028, 18073 and 21028 kHz
SSB - 7095, 14185, 18165 and 21290 kHz
6m - 50.145 MHz USB
2m - 145.245MHz SSB

AS-024. Operators Takashi/JE3NJZ and Aruga/JA0KNM will be active as
homecall/JA6 from Kuro Island, June 6-9th. Activity will be
on 40-6 meters, CW and SSB. QSL via their home callsigns,
direct or by the bureau.
EU-043. Operators Tomas/SM6XMY, Sten/SM6MIS, Magnus/SM6WET, Janne/SM6YOF, Bengt/SM6UQL, Pierre/SA6AOA and Rick/SM6U will be
active as 8S6KOS from Nordkoster (North Koster) Island,
Thursday, May 29th until Sunday, June 1st. QSOs are also
valid for the "Salt Water Award" (known as Worked All SM6
Islands) as reference number 1548. Grid square is JO58MV.
PLEASE NOTE that the QSL Manager this year has changed
to SM6WET. Cards will be accepted via the Bureau or direct
with a SASE (2 USDs or 1 IRC for return postage).
EU-097. Operators Mario/DL5ME and Guenter/DG3HWO will be active as
OH2/DL5ME from Emsalo Island, Finland, between June 5-8th.
Activity will be on the 40/30/20/17 meters on CW/SSB. Antennas
will be a Butternut vertical and Spiderbeam. QSL via DH5MM
using the QRZ.com address only.
EU-135. Operators Mario/DL5ME and Guenter/DG3HWO will be active as
SD2O from Holmon Island, Sweden, between May 29th and June
2nd. Activity will be on the 40/30/20/17 meters on CW/SSB.
Antennas will be a Butternut vertical and Spiderbeam. QSL
via SD2O using the QRZ.com address only.
EU-164. Dan, IK2UWA, will be active as TK/IK2UWA from Cavallo Island
between May 31st and June 6th. Activity will be on 40-10
meters on CW and SSB using a Yaesu FT-857 w/100 watts into
a homemade I1UJX vertical Multi-Band antenna. QSL direct or
by the Bureau.
