Island activities:

EU-009. (Update/Correction) Russell, G5XW, will be active as GM5XW from the Orkney Islands between November 19-23rd. His activity will be from the mainland island only and not from the various islands in the Orkney Group as first reported. QSL direct only via G5XW (QRZ.com), with SASE/SAE and sufficient postage.

EU-169. Anyone who made a QSO with the Italian team from Sazan Island as ZA0/homecall last week (October 23-29th), the following reference numbers are good: MIA MA-01 LH, ARLHS ALB-004 and L-0028 and WLOL Lighthouse Award (ALB-019 Mole North [green] and ALB-020 Mole South [red]). . (5K0T Update). Pedro, HK3JJH, informs OPDX that their plans for the DXpeditions to Bajo Nuevo (NA-132) and Roncador Bank (NA-133) are all set and ready. However, their friend Fero, HA8MT, will not be operating, but he is their tecnical manager for the equipment and antenas. Activity will take place between November 19th and December 2nd. SA-057. Members of the Sacramento de Colonia Radio Club (CX2FAA) will activate San Gabriel Island as CX1F between November 15-16th. Activity will be on all HF bands using CW, SSB, PSK and SSTV.
Operators mentioned are: Ricardo/CX5FT, Viterbo/CX9FD, Italo/CX3FG, Marber/CX9ACK and Walter/CX6FF. San Gabriel is a nature Preserve and has not been open to the public for 15 years. SA-070. Members of the "3 Stars DX Group" plan to activate Santa Maria Island's (DICE ICE-502) lighthouse (ARLHS CHI-027, TWLHD WLH CE-038, WLOTA LH-0543, Admiralty G1764, WW Loc. FF33FA) as XR5L between January 28th and February 4th. The operators mentioned are: Didier/F6DXE, Christophe/F0ELI, Andre/F0ELK, Elsa/LU1EJ, Esteban/XQ7UP, Ricardo/CE3HDI, Carlos/CE6AMN, Carlos/CE6UFF and Irma/CA6UTF.
