Island activities:

AF-019. (POSTPONED) Operators Vincenzo IW9EJP, Filippo IW9FRB, Giovanna IW9GVP (YL), Ferdinando IW9HSK, Ezio IT9OJW, Sebastiano IT9ZIR and Dario IT9ZZO have postponed their activity as IG9/homecalls from Linosa Island (IIA AG-003, MIA MI-128) until May 1-3rd (not April 24-26th as first announced).

They plan to operate on SSB, PSK and RTTY on the HF bands, 80-10 meters. QSL via their home callsigns, direct or by the Bureau. Visit their Web page at: http://www.iw9frb.it/linosa.htm

AS-077. Look for 8J6DON to be active from Kyushu Island during the upcoming Hakata "Dontaku" Port Festival between April 29th and May 5th. QSL via the JARL Bureau.

EU-008. Operators Charlie MM0GNS, Willie GM4ZNC and Rodger GM3JOB will be active as MS0TJT/p from the Island of Coll, Inner Hebrides, May 3-8th. Activity is planned for 80-6 meters, mainly SSB, but with a little CW and PSK. QSL via GM4ZNC.

EU-031. Claudio, IZ0KRC, will be active as IC8/IZ0KRC from Ischia Island (IIA NA-001, MIA MI-042, WLOTA 0689) between April 29th and May 4th. Activity will be SSB only on 40/20/15/10 meters. QSL via his home callsign, Bureau is preferred.

EU-047. Juergen, DL1IAI, will be active as DL1IAI/p from Borkum Island (N-001 for the German Islands Award) in the Niedersachsen State Group between April 27th and May 18th. He will also try to activate the club station DL0BRF on the lightship "Borkumriff" on SSB and maybe also PSK31/RTTY on 80-2 meters during this time. QSL ONLY via the bureau (PLEASE). EU-065. Member of the Charente DX Group will activate TM0M from Molene Island (DIFM AT002 - French Island Award), May 23-30th.
Four stations will be on air 24/7, with operations on 80-10
meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK. Operators mentioned are: Joel F1BLQ, Jean F4EEK, Michel F5EOT, Eric F5LOW, Sibard F5NBQ, Laurent F5MNK, Bertrand F6HKA and Leon ON4ZD. QSL via F6ANA, direct or by the bureau.

EU-094. Johann, F4FEP, will be active as F4FEP/p from the beach of Saint-Nicolas Island (DIFM AT-010) possibly 1 to 3 days during the month of May, depending on the weather and a boat. He will be active on May 1st (1400-1700z) and May 19th (1000-1700z).
Watch 14260 kHz (+/- QRM); he will be use an ICOM-706 w/100 watts, battery power and a G5RV antenna. QSL via his home callsign, direct or by the Bureau.

EU-125. Operators Gabi DF9TM, Frank DL2SWW and Ric DL2VFR will be active as OZ0FR from Romo Island (NS-001 for the Danish Islands Award) between July 23-26th, including the IOTA Contest (July 25-26th).
Activity will be high power on CW and SSB into a yagi antenna for 20-10 meters, a SteppIR vertical (BigIR) for 40-10 meters and dipoles for 80 and 40 meters. This activity will also count for the World Flora and Fauna Award (WFF -

EU-129. Helmut, DL7VOX, will once again be active as DL7VOX/p from Usedom Island (O-013 for the German Islands Award) between April 27 and May 16th. Activity will probably be CW on 160-10 meters.QSL via his homecall, direct or by the Bureau.

EU-178. Uwe, DL3BQA, will be active as ES8/DL3BQA from Kihnu Island, Estonia, between June 15-22nd. Activity will be holiday style on 80-6 meters, mostly on SSB and possibly some RTTY. QSL via his home callsign, by the bureau or direct.

EU-189. Just a reminder that a Belgian team of five operators will try to land and activate Rockall Island between April 30th and May 1st. Operation will depend on the weather and sea conditions.
The team will have two stations on the air using the callsign
MM0RAI/p. Activity will be on 80-10 meters using CW and SSB. QSL via ON4BR, direct or by the Bureau.

SA-021. (Update) Members of the Radio Club Grupo DX Bahia Blanca will be active as L21D from Ariadna Island, located 70km south of Ingeniero White Harbour, in the natural reserve of Bahia Blanca, between 0000z, May 1st, and 1800z, May 3rd. Activity will be on 80/40/20/15/10 meters using CW, SSB and PSK. Operators mentioned are: Carlos LU7DSY, Osmar LU8DWR, Carlos LU4ETN, Gerardo LU1EUU, Enrique LU5DEM, Nestor LU4DBP and Willy LU4DBT. SA-072. (Update) Members of the Teresina DX Group are preparing a DXpedition to the Canary Island (DIB MA-05, DFB MA-11) on the coast of Piaui, Brazil, between April 29th and May 3rd. Callsign will be ZW8BBC. Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB, PSK31 and RTTY, including 6 meters, 2 meters (SSB/FM ) and the satellites (SSB/FM).

Satellites mentioned are: AO-7 (A and B), FO-29, AO-51, VO-52, SO-50 and ISS in repeater mode, if activated. QSL via PS8DX (QRZ.com address): Operators mentioned are: Ray PS8BBC, Junior PS8DX, Jesus PS8ET, Chicao PS8FSM, Milton PS8HF, Joca PS8JN, Nelson PS8NF, Joao PS8PY,

IOTA SPECIAL NOTES:

* IOTA Contest 2008 Credits:
The RSGB are pleased to announce that they can now accept QSOs made in the 2008 IOTA contest for credit without QSL Cards.

* Interruption of service from RSGB HQ:
The RSGB regrets that as the result of the sudden resignation of the IOTA Coordinator at HQ, there will be an interruption in its service to the IOTA community pending
the filling of the post. This means that there will be a delay,
possibly as long as a month, in the issue of certificates, plaques and trophies and in the handling of emails addressed to: iota.hq@rsgb.org.uk
A notice will be posted when normal service resumes.
