Island activities:
AS-117. (Special Event/WLOTA Op) Members of the Tokyo Dental College RC
(JA1YUC) will activate the special event callsign 8J120TDC/2
from Mikomoto Island (WLOTA-2126) between July 26-28th. Activity
will mostly be on 40/20/17/15 meters using CW and SSB which
will include an entry in the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 25-26th).
Special event callsign is to celebrate the 120th anniversary
of the Tokyo Dental College. Mikomoto Island lighthouse WLOTA
number will be activated for the first time. The lighthouse
was also selected by the International Association of Lighthouse
Authorities (IALA) as one of 100 lighthouses particularly
important historically in various countries of the world. QSL

EU-008. Michael, DL6MHW, will be active as MM/DL6MHW from the Ilse of
Mull, Scotland, during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 25-26th).

EU-010. Members of the Workington and District Amateur Radio Club will
once again be active as MS0WRC from Crannag Cottage, NE Coast
Isle of Barra (IOSA OH-11, SCOTIA HI-02, WAB NF70, WLOTA 3126),
Outer Hebrides, from September 26th to October 3rd.
Operators
mentioned are: Steve/G0MTD, Paul/M1PAF, Mark/M0WCR and Glyn/
M3XUH. Activity will be on all HF bands but mainly 80/40/20/17
meters SSB and VHF/UHF FM. The group also plans to travel around
the island (active as mobile or portable) and possibly activate
some rare WAB Squares. QSL direct to G0MTD or by the Bureau to

EU-049. Theo, SV1EJD, will be active as SV8/SV1EJD while on vacation
from Lesvos Island between July 12-22nd. Activity will be on

EU-064. Operators Jean-Michel/F1UGV, Nicolas/F4BJW, Jean-Marc/F5NLR,
Olivier/F5SRH and Henri/F5DBC will be active as TM5DUM from
the Dumet Island (DIFM AT 018), June 20-21st. Activity will
be on the HF and VHF bands, propagation permitting, using

EU-105. Theo, ON4ATW, informs OPDX: "The Rockall 2009 group will
participate in the IOTA contest from Ile de Batz, Finistere
North. To recover from the trip to Rockall and to start
preparation for a new attempt, the crew and the support team
will join the DXpedition class in a Multi-Operator, Low-Power
effort. Team members include ON3DX, ON4AHF, ON4ATW, ON4HIL,
ON4IA, ON6CC, ON6LEO, ON6NL, ON6ZU and ON7YT. The call used
will be F/OT2A and QSL will go via the home call."
EU-128. Sebastian, DL1AXX, will be active as DL1AXX/P from the small
Island of Warder (O-32 for the German Island Award), between
July 11-18th. Activity will be on 80/40/30 meters CW only.

EU-176. Jorgen, SM3CXS, will once again be active from Grimskar Island
(Grid JP81) as SG3U, June 18-21st. Activity will be limited to
his spare time, but look for him on 40-6 meters using CW and
SSB. QSL via SM3CXS, direct or by the Bureau.
NA-055. Mike, W2IY, will be active as W2IY/1 from Mt. Desert, Maine,
during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 25-26th). QSL via W2IY,
by the Bureau or eQSL.
NA-185. Operators Mike/K9AJ and Bruce/KD6WW will team-up and be active
as homecall/VY0 from the Thomson Island (CISA New One!), the
Canadian offshore Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, starting during their
local Friday evening, July 31st through their local Monday
morning, August 3rd. Using two stations, look for them on or
near the usual IOTA frequencies using CW and SSB. QSL via their
home callsigns.
OC-130. Maarten "Moj", PA3GZU, will be active as DU9/PA3GZU from
Mindanao Island (WLOTA 2803), July 6th through August 1st.
Activity will be holiday style on the HF bands with low
power. QSL via his home callsign, the Bureau is preferred.
