EU-156. Operators Francois/ON4LO and Kurt/ON4CB plan to activate
Tombelaine Island (DIFM MA021, Grid Loc. IN89fp) as F/OR9W/P
between July 23-25th. Activity will include an entry in the

Tombelaine is an uninhabited
island of granite in the Bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel, on the
right bank of the See Channel, a few kilometers north of the
Mont-Saint-Michel.
The important lime properties of the bay
allow them to reach the island (at foot) with dry feet at low
tide. It's about 3.5 km from the coast of Cotentin in the
north-east and the height of island is 45 meters. It is now
part of the community of Genets and is an ornithological
reserve.
QSL is 100%: direct, by the Bureau or the EUROBUREAUQSL
via FRA, PO Box 1630, B-1000 Brussels 1, Belgium. For more
info on the island, visit:

barefoot operation. Bill will evaluate a special purpose built
vertical antenna for this operation which may well prove to be
a great asset to any operation. QSL route is via VK4FW, direct
by the Bureau or the ODXG's OQRS at: http://www.odxg.org
