Island activities:
AF-091/AF-092 An Italian team of operators will activate Plane Island (AF-091) and Kuriat Island
(AF-092) as TS7TI between September 13–23rd.
Operators mentioned are: Alfredo/IK7JWX, Leopoldo/I8LWL, Simon/
IZ7ATN, IK7XWU and Ampelio/IS0AGY. They are currently seeking
sponsors/supporters for this DXpedition. More details are
forthcoming.
AS-043. Ichy, JH1IPR/6, has postponed his trip to Hachijo Island on June
26th, due to a death in the family. He will travel to Hachijo
Island around the end of August or the beginning of September.
EU-045. Members of the newly formed "Italia Zero DX Group" will activate "L'isola di Ponza" in the Tyrrhenian Sea, between Rome and Naples,
as IB0Y between August 1-8th. The international team of operators
mentioned are: Giovanni/IZ0PSA, Edmondo/VA3ITA, Laura/VA3LIA and
James/KB0MZ. Activity will be holiday style on 80-2 meters using
CW, SSB and the Digital modes. QSL via IZ0PSA or LoTW. A link for
live video streaming and updates is expected to be posted on
QRZ.com.
EU-123. On the week commencing September 25th, members of Sands Contest
Group and Workington Radio Club, along with Brendan Minish
(EI6IZ), will be visiting the Isle of Aran off the coast of
southwestern Scotland, and will operate under the callsign
MM0SCG. They will be active on VHF, HF, SSB, CW and the Data
modes. The island has lighthouses and the following reference
numbers are good: SCOTIA Island number CS14 and IOSA number
CL01. They will also activate SOTA summits, with time permitting.
EU-140. Operators Jari/OH1JO and Juha/OH1LEG will be activated Kaunissaari
Island using the special callsign OH1K for 5 days (possibly 7)
starting July 23rd. Activity will be on the HF bands (20/15/10m)
and possibly 80/40/30/17/12m. Jari states, "Icom Pro-3 and FT-1000
MK V Field will be used." QSL via OH1JO. A special QSL card
will be printed after the activation. All Direct cards with 1
IRC, 1 EURO and 2 USDs will be answered as soon as the cards are
printed by UX5UO. Look for updates on QRZ.com (under OK1K or
OH1JO).
NA-058. Members of the Kennehoochee Amateur Radio Club (W4BTI) will
activate the special event station / IOTA / Lighthouse (USA 738 and
USA 1014) as K4L from Sapelo Island, Georgia, between August
5-7th. Activity will be on the HF bands. QSL via W4BTI, direct
or LoTW and eQSl.
NA-067. Jon, WB8YJF, will be active as homecall/4 from Ocracoke Island,
NC (USI NC001S), between July 18-25th. Activity will be on 40/20/15/10 meters (and possibly 80 meters) using CW, RTTY, and SSB.
Jon will also be active in the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th)
as a Single-Op/Low-Power. He states, "I will be taking a TA-33-
Mini and a Vertical - although at this point the vertical has
issues on 80m - which I hope to have rectified by then." QSL

stamp to cover postage is appreciated).
SA-060. (Update) Operators Orlando/PT2OP and Fred/PY2XB will be active
from Cotejuba Island (DIB PA-14, WLOTA L-2855, ARLHS BRA-278),
Para State, Northern Brazil, between July 25th. Look for
activity in the WLOTA Contest. Orlando, PT2OP, will sign ZX8C,
mostly on SSB. Fred, PY2XB, will signs ZX8W, mostly on CW. QSLs
for are via PT7WA.
QSLs for ZX8C are via PT2OP.
