AS-177; VU, Goa State group:
The VU Manic Monkeys, a group of
Indian operators, activates Sao Jorge Island/Ilha Grande (ALRHS
IND-112, Admiralty F0628, NGA 27768, WW Loc. MK65VI) from Dec. 3 to
6 with the callsign AT7SJ. The island, also known as St. George
Island, is usually closed to visitors, except for some days in
November, when local fishermen are permitted to visit. QRV on
40-10m (CW, SSB, FT8). Operators are VU2GRM, VU2GTI, VU2JHM,
VU2MNX, VU3GDS, VU3KWK, VU3ULP, VU3UNO, and VU3ZNG. QSL via VU3NPI
and ClubLog.
NA-096; HH/HI, Hispaniola & NA-122; HI, Dominican Republic's Coastal
Islands:
Kasimir/DL2SBY operates holiday-style as HI7/DL2SBY from
Punta Cana (WW Loc. FK58sq) and Bayahibe (WW Loc. FK58oi) between
Dec. 1 and 14. QRV on 160-10m (CW, some SSB and FT8). If possible,
he will also try to activate Saona Island (WLOTA 2304, WW Loc.
FK58pd) for a few hours as HI2/DL2SBY. QSL via DL2SBY (d), ClubLog.
NA-105; FS/PJ7; St Martin (Sint Maarten):
Paul/K9NU, Mike/W9MK,
Marco/FS4WBS, Bob/W9AP, and John/K9EL plan to activate St Martin on
the low bands (CW, SSB, FT4/8) with the callsign TO9W from Dec. 1
to 10. QSL via W9ILY (d/B), ClubLog OQRS, LoTW.
