3B9C DXpedition By Don Field G3XXT

Don G3XXT was a Planning Team Leader for this DXpedition to Rodrigues Island in 2004 with the now famous call-sign 3B9C. Rodrigues Island lies 560kms to the east of Mauritius.

The DXpedition was organised by the Five Star DXers Association (FSDXA). The mission of FSDXA is to provide amateurs around the world with the opportunity for a least one contact with the station.

Don will give a run down of the equipment used and how the station made so many contacts.

Does anybody know how many contacts were made? Well come to the meeting on Tuesday 3th May and you will find out.

Chelmsford ARS meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Marconi Social Club in Beehive Lane, Great Baddow. The doors open at 7:15pm for a 7:30 start. There is ample free parking and a bar is available for
refreshments. Visitors are most welcome.
