International examination grows in statureThe RSGB International Amateur Radio examination has quickly set a bench mark around the world. Last month saw the launch of the scheme with Trinidad & Tobago and Kenya being the first customers. Since the launch further enquiries to join the scheme have come from Gibraltar, Malta, Cyprus, Mauritius and Ethiopia. Interest is also being shown by the Irish Republic. The RSGB is presenting a paper at the IARU Region 1 conference which is scheduled to take place in September with a view to getting the examination accepted as a world-wide standard in countries that do not run their own examination schemes.
