IET 2020 Vision

The Institution of Engineering and Technology - Europe's largest professional engineering society - is staging 2020 Vision, an event to explore the hopes, fears and aspirations of 14-18 year olds and their attitudes to careers, technology and engineering.

Key figures from some of the world's most exciting areas of science and technology will be talking to 500 young people and exchanging ideas and opinions at the event, including:

* Kevin Warwick (Reading University) - technology implants in the brain
* Braulio Morera (Arup) - building cities of the future
* Mike Ealy (Astrium) - space travel exploration
* Jamie MacDonald (Sony Playstation) - the future of gaming and leisure

At the event, the IET will also reveal the results of an international survey of young people to discover their thoughts and opinions, with recorded contributions from young people and industry leaders in India, Hong Kong,
Europe and the USA.
