This satellite will be the first Amateur satellite to make use of the Amateur 47 GHz band, but it's most popular feature will probably be the 70cm to 2 metres 150 kHz bandwidth Linear Transponder.

Due to the satellites highly elliptical orbit, this will provide worldwide communications for many hours each day, making
the top end of the 2 metre band sound like 20 metres!

The AMSAT-UK International Space Colloquium will be held at the University of Surrey, Guildford, England from Friday July 28th to Sunday July 30th and there will be an extensive programme covering many aspects of Space Communications
including P3E.

The fully satellite equipped RSGB GB4FUN will be onsite
throughout the event. The event is open to all Radio Amateurs and SWL's for further information see http://www.uk.amsat.org/Colloquium/
