New radio club for Northern CapeRadio Amateurs in Upington have launched a new radio club that will cater for radio amateurs in South Africa's Northern Cape. The club will be known as the Kalahari-Karoo Amateur Radio club. The main aim of the club is to promote the interest of its members in all facets of Amateur Radio. The committee of the club extends an invitation to all amateurs who have a connection or an interest in the Kalahari or Karoo to get in touch with Daniel Swart, ZR3DS, at 082 884 1200 or by sending an email to danielkswart@mweb.co.za. The The South African Radio League congratulates the founders of the Kalahari-Karoo Amateur Radio Club on their initiative which will auger well for the development of Amateur Radio in the Northern Cape region.
