Patriotic Ride Across AmericaAmateur Radio Military Appreciation Day has been one of the focus events of National Military Appreciation Month for the past three years. They are excited about the potential that we as Amateur Radio Operators have to reach our communities, Military Members, and Veterans with messages of support. ARMAD has an excellent opportunity to have Amateur Radio receive some very good media and public relations this May. As the Founder of ARMAD, I have been contacted by several large groups wanting to help make Amateur Radio more visible to our public. We ask that Amateur Radio Operators contact the stations and operators that will be on the air for the event on May 26, 2007. Let's fill up the bands like we do on Field Day and let our Troops, Veterans, Military Retired, and 1st Responders know that we can help our citizens show support for them with "live" messages of support. There will be a 15-day Patriotic Ride Across America as part of National Military Appreciation Month (MAY). They would like Amateur Radio Supoort for communications along the route. Let's join in and show the world how we provide public service. They will get lots of media attention during this ride. This would be great PR for our hobby also.
