The DXpedition to Swains Island, N8S

The big international DXpedition to Swains Island, N8S, in the Pacific, led by Hrane Miloshevic,YT1AD of Serbia and David Collingham, K3LP of the USA, is over.

It operated round the clock April 3 – 15 on all bands and modes and has released the following message:

“Dear radio amateurs of the world, the N8S team is very happy with the visit to the beautiful Swains Island and the fact that you were given a chance to have a QSO with a new DXCC entity. We are thankful for each of the QSOs you had with us.

"The new record set by N8S is 117,205 QSOs. K1B (a DXpedition of the same team to Baker Island in 2002) had 95,127 QSOs. Part of the team is located at KH8 at the moment and is supposed to travel to Samoa, 5W5AA tomorrow.

"The complete logbook will be available in a couple of days. The distribution of QSL cards is due to start after May 15, 2007.”

QSL cards + SAE (self-addressed envelope) + 1US dollar for normal post or 2 US dollars for airmail should be sent to Dr. Hrane Miloshevic, YT1AD, 36206 Vitanovac, Serbia. QSL via bureau only send a QSL card.
