Glorioso Island DXpedition postponed again

If you have been one of those patiently waiting for Glorioso Island to come on the air, you are going to have to wait a bit longer. This is because the DXpedition to Glorioso originally scheduled for May 6th to June 6th has been postponed once again.

The reason this time is construction. Starting in June a number of new tropical storms shelters will be built on Glorioso. The work will take at least two and a half months. Due to the large number of workers on the island during the construction the authorities decided to postpone the DXpedition until the work has been completed.

The exact dates for the Dxpedition to take place will be determined by the availability of transportation to and from Glorioso. The operators say that they hope to accomplish the operation by the end of September or the beginning of October at the latest.
