Japanese Radio Hams get additional 80 Metre frequencies

On Monday 28th April, Radio Amateurs in Japan were given additional frequencies in the 80 metre co-primary shared band.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) made a public announcement that the domestic Table of Frequency Allocations and the Japanese Amateur Bandplan had been amended.

Japanese radio amateurs are now allowed to operate on the following additional frequencies on 80/75 meters band;
3 599 to 3 612 kHz, 3 680 to 3 687 kHz, 3 702 to 3 716 kHz, 3 745 to 3 747 kHz and 3 754 to 3 770 kHz.

As the result, from April 28, 2008, JA amateurs will be on;

3 500 to 3 575 kHz
3 599 to 3 612 kHz
3 680 to 3 687 kHz
3 702 to 3 716 kHz
3 745 to 3 770 kHz
3 791 to 3 805 kHz
