Alec Reeves inventor of Pulse Code Modulation

The next IET Essex talk in Chelmsford on Wednesday 22nd April is about Alec Reeves who invented Pulse Code Modulation and devised the most accurate bomb aiming device of WW2.

Alec Reeves invented Pulse Code Modulation - the technology on which our 'information age' depends - yet is unknown to the public. A committed pacifist, he devised the most accurate bomb aiming device of WW2, saving the Allies from early defeat.

Science writer/producer David Robertson, of Technology Response Ltd, will explore the complexities surrounding the man and his legacy.
