Charly Hausemer, LX1AJ - SK

Charly Hausemer, LX1AJ, from Differdange, Luxembourg (LX), became a 'Silent Key' (SK) on April 7th, at the age of 89.

He was the oldest ham in LX-land and was a licensed radio amateur for more than 60 years. He was a keen DXer and
had contacted nearly all the DXCC entities on SSB.

He was part of a group of hams who established amateur radio in Luxembourg, and also the"Reseau Luxembourgeois des Amateurs d'Ondes Courtes (RL) (in English, Luxembourg Amateur Radio Society). He was one of the first hams who got licensed.

Philippe, LX2A, said, "He was my uncle and introduced me into amateur radio and always supported me in this great hobby. Putting up the contest station LX7I would never have been possible without his help. He was a great OM and I hope to be able to promote amateur radio in Luxembourg and worldwide like he has always done it."
