Radio Active Scouting!
From the 14th to the 18th of April 2009, the Scout Radio & Electronics
Service Unit will be running the Scout Association's National Radio Camp
at Gillwell Park in Victoria, Australia.
The camp will promote Amateur Radio to Youth Members.
As part of this, camp participants will undertake their Foundation License
Assessment, build antennas, operate in the Radio Shack, send video on SSTV
and do some Fox Hunting.
On Saturday the 18th of April, the Scouts will take to one of Melbourne's
most famous attractions, Puffing Billy, and operate radio Mobile from
one of the carriages. Departing at 0445HRS UTC until 0645HRS UTC.
You'll find the Radio Active Scouts on the following bands:
On HF - 3.690, 7.090 & 7.190, 14.290, 18.140, 21.360 and 24.960 +/-QRM
On VHF - 144.200USB, 146.500 / 146.525FM
On UHF - 432.200USB, 439.000 / 439.025FM
