Sable Island DXpedition

The CY0 Team has re-adjusted their arrival date on Sable Island so the team can provide a CY0 country multiplier
to contesters during the CQWW DX SSB Contest weekend (October 24-25th).

The team plans to operate only one station in the contest and also continue to maintain CW and 30/17/12m operations for those DXers who are not in the contest.

The complete operation will take place between October 19-26th, and operators will sign homecall/CY0.

Operators mentioned are: Murray WA4DAN, Randy N0TG and Ron AA4VK.

Activity will be on all bands 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via their home callsigns. Visit their Web site periodically for continuing updated details and information (see below).

CY0-Preparation:
A Simulation Test by N0TG, WA4DAN and AA4VK will be performed from IOTA NA-67, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina on an island that is similar in environment (terrain, sand, sea, remoteness, etc.) to Sable Island during the period 2300Z on April 30th through 1830Z on May 2nd.

The purpose of the operation will be a "test" of potential antennas for use at CY0 this coming October.
Testing of antenna layout will be conducted to assess inter-station interference. DXers from the U.S. and other countries are welcome to call in and participate in the CY0 simulation "test".

The DXPedition for Sable Island is scheduled for mid-October.

All Dxpedition details and updates are available on the Web site: http://www.cy0dxpedition.com
