North Cork Radio Group to air new callsign this weekend

The North Cork Radio Group have just been awarded a Group call-sign EI1NC (echo India 1 November Charlie).

In celebration of gaining this call and also Marconi day, the Group will be holding a field day event from the mountain of Musheramore at Millstreet north Co Cork today, 24th and weather permitting running through into Sun 25th.

Operation will start at approx 10:30am on most, if not all bands. Further info about our group and its future plans will be accessible via northcorkradiogroup.com

Just as a side note there is also a new repeater 'EI7SMR' newly repaired and located around the same mountain, approximately 400 meters above sea level. The output freq is 430.925 MHz with the input on 438.525 MHz (+7.6 MHz offset)a CTCSS tone of 103.5 Hz is required. The output power is 10 watts into a vertical collinear antenna.
