Hi-speed Power Line Adaptors

It appears that new Power Line Adaptors (PLA, PLT), used for Home Networking, can cause interference right across the spectrum up to as high as 370 MHz.

Results from tests carried out on these devices are now available on the web. It appears the interference from these devices covers the Amateur Radio 50, 70 and 144 MHz bands as well as the DAB and VHF FM Broadcast bands.

Research carried out at Queen Mary, University of London indicates it is possible to use frequencies up to 600 MHz to transmit Video or Broadband Internet around the household mains:
