World Amateur Radio Day on prime-time TV
World Amateur Radio Day took place on April 18 and was featured on prime-time TV.
The German regional broadcasters WDR, NDR and HR covered World Amateur Radio Day in TV news reports. Viewers saw 3 minute TV spots on radio amateurs in Bonn, Flensburg, Kassel and in a mountain hut near Wetzlar.
As a result of the TV coverage over half a million people got an insight into the hobby.
