27th HamExpo - F5REFThe 27th Hamexpo will be held October 22-23rd in Auxerre, Burgundy, France. The Expo is said to be one of the most important ham radio shows in Europe, just behind Friedrichshaffen. HamExpo, which was founded in 1978 by Pierre Michel, F9AF (ham gear builder) and his daughter Christiane, F5SM has been a French IARU Society Ref-Union organization, since 1996. During the Hamexpo week-end, and especially from the Event Hall, the call sign F5REF (REF-Union's callsign) will be aired on HF and VHF (6 and 2 meters), CW, SSB, PSK and if asked RTTY and SSTV. All contacts with F5REF will be confirmed automatically via the bureau. Those who choose the direct way go via Pierre F2WS (envelope SA + IRC. If green stamps, 1 for Europe and Africa, 2 elsewhere).
