Danes can watch public TV via computer without a licenceDanish public broadcaster Danmarks Radio is concerned about a loophole in the law which allows Danes to watch TV on their PC without paying a TV licence fee. The Elgiganten chain of shops is planning to promote the sale of computers with TV access by telling customers that they will no longer have to pay the fee, which costs 2,100 kroner (just under US$350) a year. It is estimated that some 10,000 Danes are already doing so, but so far lawmakers have said that they will not change current regulations. (Source: Danmarks Radio) |
