Mission Specialist Soichi Noguchi installs PCSAT2 on the ISS

PCSAT2 successfully installed

At 11:17 GMT on Wednesday 3rd August PCSAT2 was installed on the International Space Station.

For the installation images see http://www.pcsat2.info/

Due to the safety system on PCSAT2, which prevents any transmissions occuring while there's a possibility of the Astronauts being outside ISS, we will have to wait for an 8.6 hour timer to expire before it starts transmitting.

So, on passes after 20:00 GMT listen on 437.975 MHz FM plus or minus about 10 kHz for doppler shift.

To find out when the ISS is within range go to the Online Satellite Predictor at

http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/tools/predict/

Select Show Predictions for ISS and enter your approximate Lat and Long co-ordinates or IARU QTH Locator.
