RSGB Board and National Council elections 2005The Radio Society of Great Britain has announced two Board vacancies to be filled at the 2005 elections. Gordon Adams, G3LEQ, and David Hicks, G6IFA, have each completed their terms of office. Gordon has now finished six years’ service and therefore must retire on 31 December 2005. David has completed one three-year term and may stand for a second term. Members who wish to stand for election to the board must have been a corporate member of the RSGB for at least two years and need to obtain nominations and supporting signatures from 10 or more corporate members of the Society in good standing. The RSGB has also announced that elections will be held in the National Council for the following regions: West Midlands; South Wales; South and South East; East Midlands; Scotland South and the Western Isles; and South West and the Channel Islands. Candidates are welcome for all vacant positions, regardless of whether or not an incumbent is standing for election. Society members who wish to stand for the National Council must reside in the relevant region. They must have been a corporate member of the Society for at least two years and need to obtain the nominations and supporting signatures of at least five, but no more than 10, corporate members residing in the region in which they are standing.
