Q5 Broadcasts in Southern TasmaniaKen VK7DY has arranged with Ron Bertrand, VK2DQ from the Radio and Electronics School to source Q5, the general radio and electronics information program. This program has been running in the North West of vk7 thanks
to Tony for the last couple of months with success. Radio and Electronics School Course Manager, Adam VK4KSS said; "With the help of many clubs and societies around the country the Radio and Electronics School last Sunday passed 500 enrolments. This is in itself is a great achievement, but what really stands out is that over 380 of these were novice enrolments. The year is still young, and we expect passing last year's total enrolments of 565 in September, with a surge before Christmas. None of this could have been achieved without the assistance of clubs
and societies around the country who took the time to display posters
in prominent places. All posters are customised to reflect local club contact details not just advertise the Radio and Electronics School. Team these posters up with VK5MM's excellent informational brochures
and we have a very effective tool for advertising our hobby. Imagine if
all of us put up just one display on a local supermarket, library or McDonalds
notice board and enticed just one new radio amateur. We could potentially
have a few thousand new amateurs in a short time."

Editor's note: The Radio and Electronics School is an excellent resource for anyone (not just those in Australia) wishing to start-out in amateur radio
