ARISS gets new telebridge station for Australia

After looking for a suitable person, I'm pleased to announce the appointment of Shane VK4KHZ as a second ARISS telebridge station for Australia.

Over the last few months, he's been upgrading his ground station to ARISS specifications and is now ready to join the international team for his first assignment.

Shane can be called upon at any time to handle NASA approved radio link-ups, so astronauts can speak to folk anywhere in the world.

Shane was involved with the direct linkup between the ISS and the Zeehan School in Tasmania in 2001 when he was then VK7KHZ. Since then Thomas his son has obtained the call of VK4FTDX and will no doubt be assisting his father handling telebridge's

ARISS is an educational program sponsored by the AMSAT Corporation, the ARRL, and NASA, and is managed by a dedicated group of Radio Amateurs.
