Last chance to get an additional M0 call sign ?

Currently a holder of a G or M Full ham radio call sign can submit a new licence application to the Radio Licence Centre and get a new M0 call sign in addition to their existing call sign.

Over the last year this facility has proved popular with many G8/G6/G1/G7 call holders. The motivation for doing this varies, for most it's to get a call sign that has their initials or is distinctive in some way.

But the era of being apply to hold multiple call signs of the same licence class is nearing an end.

It is understood that when the new Online Licencing system comes into operation you will no longer be able to apply for more than one call sign of any licence class, however, it looks like it won't be retrospective so those who already hold multiple call signs should be able to keep them.

So if you want an extra call sign apply for it now before it's too late!
