Latest Australian BPL emission report released

The third round of measurements have just been released from the Tasmanian BPL trial from the Mt Nelson, Tolmans Hill, North Hobart and Mount Stuart trial areas. There is also a new area within the Suburb of West Hobart that we have detected emissions from.

The VK7BPL Watch pages also contains a second round of measurements taken in Burnie on the North West coast of Tasmania. The website address is:

The methodology behind the measurements is one of measuring the background noise outside the trial area and comparing this to the measurements taken within the trial areas using the latest version of Owen Duffy's FSM software (v.1.11). www.vk1od.net/fsm/

The conclusion reached in the report in the Hobart trial areas shows that there is continuing to be a degradation of the noise floor in the trial areas.
