On
the Road with PW
Practical Wireless editor Rob Mannion G3XFD always enjoys meeting readers
of PW, and often tours the country visiting amateur radio clubs throughout
the United Kingdom
Rob's next stop is at the Wey Valley Amateur Radio Group's club near
Guildford in Surrey on Friday 18th August.
Rob is determined to make it to the club this time having been forced
to cancel the two previous dates due to ill health. So, let's hope
that this time around, it's a case of 'third time lucky!'.
The Wey Valley Club is better known for its use of the famous callsign
G6XN - the callsign of the late and well-respected
radio amateur and antenna designer, Les Moxon.
You'll find more information about the Club, and how it got to use this
famous callsign by visiting their website, which can be found at: http://www.weyvalleyarg.org.uk/
If you're in the area on the night, why not stop-by at the club and meet
Rob. Visitors are always made most welcome.
